Trust Matters
I’m running for Spokane County Auditor because a strong community starts with trust. With a transition in leadership in the Auditor's office ahead, we need an Auditor who is committed to bringing sunlight to government and protecting the security of our elections. I will defend your right to oversight, your right to vote, and your right to clear, usable information about what is happening in Spokane County. My goal is to give you the tools to hold government accountable when it falls short, and the confidence to trust it when it delivers.
As your Auditor, I will be an independent watchdog, focused on the systems that touch our lives every day. That means serious oversight of tax dollars, strong election administration, and careful stewardship of vital records. It also means getting the basics right, from recording property deeds and marriage certificates accurately to issuing and transferring vehicle titles efficiently.
Your trust matters. I am excited to earn your support!

-
We will throw open the county checkbook for public view.
-
Proactively provide easy access to understandable and detailed financial reports.
-
Identify exactly how your tax dollars are being spent—and what results they produce.
-
You deserve to see where your money goes and why
-
-
Build unshakable confidence in the security of your ballot and the accuracy of election outcomes.
-
Protect the integrity of our elections.
-
Demonstrate—through overwhelming transparency at every step—our commitment to properly manage, verify, store, and accurately (and promptly) count every vote.
-
Promote the vote; Act as a source of civic encouragement.

-
-
These services safeguard your most important assets and legal rights, so it’s critical we get them right.
-
Ensure the accurate recording and secure preservation of vital documents like property deeds and marriage licenses.
-
Issue, transfer, and maintain vehicle titles—providing the legal proof of ownership that protects your assets.

Civic Engagement
Michael’s passion for voting and civic involvement started young. Every Election Day, his dad would pull him out of class to go vote together at the polling place, talking through all of the candidates and measures on the ballot. This meaningful tradition imparted an important lesson in civic responsibility that has stuck with him. As Auditor, Michael plans find opportunities to visit our schools and meet with students to try and inspire a similar sense of civic responsibility.
